Do you mean the LED? The one that is supposed to illuminate when the hard
drive is being accessed?
If so, and it's not being continually accessesd, you'll probably find the
cables connecting the LED to the motherboard are incorrectly configured.
You need to check your motherboard manual to find out what the correct
procedure is.
