Harddrive instability-What's happening

MERLIN FOWLER

Three times now in the last two months my memory space has jumped from 403
MB down to 1.??MB or 2.??MB. Nothing new has been added and I am very
faithful in cleaning everytime I shut down. What is happening? What can I
do? It all of a sudden will jump back up sometimes. I am really frustrated
because I am kind of a Novice and can't see anything to do. H E L P !!!!!
