Ill take 100 mil , a mil doesnt go too far these days.
You buy one house and a car and you dont have much leftover in many
regions.

A house AND a car?
Let's see now - House: $750,000. Ferarri: $1 mill.
Hmmm a mill. really doesn't buy too much.

Hey look at those Porsche prices ! Some of them are hitting 100K now.
Hardtimes.

I think the avg house now sells for $450K or so in my region. I heard
LA was fairly high too. Im talking junky old stucco houses that often
sold for 70-80K ages ago. Not as bad as Manhattan and Silicon Valley
when it was booming but still not that great. I remember seeing an old
couple on TV that had a pretty dumpy looking stucco house in Silicon
Valley - they had bought it for $30-40K ages ago. They were smart and
sold it in this news story in the late 90s for $800K and bought a
cheaper house inland in some rural area for $200 K and were going to
use the rest as a nest egg.
