IDE & SATA HDs?

Hey

There are two IDE HDs in my computer and i want to buy an additional
SATA harddisk (my mainboard supports SATA, of course!). Is this possible?

Yes, simply buy an SATA hard disk and an SATA cable. Make sure you have
somewhere to put in the case and have a spare power lead inside your case
that will reach. Also worth checking is the type of power lead required by
the hard drive you buy as some can only be powered by the new SATA type
power leads so you might have to buy an adapter but these are really cheap.

Not so sure about the setup as when I did mine I had to buy an SATA card as
my motherboard didn't have SATA. All I did when I had installed was load up
windows and use disk management to format the drive ready for use.
