Hard drives question - help please!!

Hi all

I have a PC with 3 hard drives. I have just formatted 2 of them, and have
reinstalled windows XP Pro on one, and left the second for programs. The
third, which wasnt formatted, is used to store my files. Once I had finished
doing the formatting, and reinstalled windows, I have just gone to My
Computer and noticed that the hard drive with all my files in it has been
labelled by windows as drive C:, the hard drive with Windows on it has been
labelled as drive D:, and the hard drive for the programs has been labelled
as drive E: by windows. What I am wondering is, is there any way for me to
change these letters for the hard drives, so the hard drive with Windows
installed on it can be changed to C:, the Programs hard drive to E:, and the
files hard drive to F:. Also, to change the DVD-RW drive to D:

I have gone into Computer Management, and tried to change the Windows Hard
drive (currently D:), to C, but I have been by Windows told that I cannot
relabel system volumes or boot volumes. The hard drive with Windows stored on
it has got 'Healthy (Boot)' in the status column in Computer Management. The
hard drive for my files (currently C), has got 'Healthy (System)' in the
status coulmn.

Can anyone help please??

Thanks

The only way to make Drive C to be the System Drive in this case is
to start over, from the beginning. However, this time, make sure that
it the hard drive you want to be Drive C is the only hard drive in the
computer. After Windows is up and running, mount the other 2 hard drives
and using Disk Management, assign them their drive letters as originally
planned.
