If you are trying to format the Windows partition/drive you do that by
booting up the computer from the Windows XP CD. You will be given the
opportunity to work with the drive/partition prior to the actual
installation of the system.
If you want to format a different drive/partition go to My Computer | Manage
| Disk Management. Right click on the drive you want to work with to see the
options.
