I am wondering about how often the hard drive should be accesses, the light
seems to be lighting up every few seconds, even when I am not using the
computer. I have run a Norton virus check, Ad-aware SE, and Spybot. Nothing
showed up. Also have Spyware Blaster. I am running Windows XP with SP2
installed. Just wondering if this is normal for a computer or should it set
without lighting up constantly? I checked all the items in my windows task
manager and they all seem to be legititimate. Any thoughts would be great,
thanks for any help. Always appreciated and helpful. :-)

It is probably "Indexing"

That is normal in XP. You can shut it off by going into the Properties of
the hard drive.
