Hard drive retrieval

My hard drive stoped working. I now have another computer running Windows XP Pro. Is there any way I can retrieve the information on the old hard drive? My old HD is a Western Digital, the new one is Maxtor if it maters.

Add the old drive, as a slave, to the new one ... see if you can access it.
