hard drive only about 520mb

Hi,
I'm having trouble with a Packard Bell. The hard drive in
it should be 40Gb but the pc is showing that it is only
about 520Mb. I've tried another hard drive and it's just
the same for that one. How do I get back all the hard
drive space? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello

How old is your pc and you need to find if your pc PB
will support a harddrive that large. SOme older pc may
not see that larger harddrive, you may need to update
your system bios if needed
