Depending on what kind of XP CD you have, the Backup Utility can be found in
the valueadd\msft\ntbackup folder. However you may like to into an Imaging
program - such as Drive Image 7 - http://www.powerquest.com/driveimage/

| How can I backup my C drive to a D drive that is a slave?
| XP Home has no backup utility; Professional does.
Hi Fred,
Buy Drive Image 7, you wont regret it.Backup up to a slave HD, cd or dvd
from windows, and is very quick. Operates through Windows so is very easy.
My C: drive contains 22gb of data which I can back up in 14 minutes to a
slave HD. Did it this morning. DVD backups take slightly longer but not
much. There is also a "backup explorer" from which you can reinstate a
particular file or files from the backup.
HTH
Dave.
You should be advised that this version of Backup is quite limited in what
it can do so read the accompanying .txt file that explains it's limitations.
If you want to make full system backups you are better off with a third
party app.
I forgot to include - there should be a small 'readme' file in the same
folder on the CD. Please read that - if refers to XP Home and Automated
System Recovery.

| Thanks. I wondered why no backup utility. I found it where you directed me
to. Cheers. Fred
