hard drive added - Unable to access installed games

I recently revamped and reformatted my PC with extra graphics card, memory
and hard drive.
Everything is great. Al the old clutter and programs are gone, its much
faster and i can now play more of the latest games(apart from DVD only games).
I now have 2 drives in my PC - Drive C (40GB) which i want to keep for my
eveyday stuff and drive F(10GB) which i wanted to install all my games onto.
I have specified to install to drive f and everything has gone there
However i cant play the games from the desktop shortcut OR from the start ->
all programs.
Any ideas to what i have done wrong as everything else is great ?

What message do you receive............a lot of games require the CD/DVD to
be in place to play the game
