it was suggested in another thread that you can get the security tab if you boot into safe
mode...might try that to get the security tab :)

If XP Pro, open Group Policy...
Start | Run | Type: gpedit.msc | Click OK |

Navigate to >>
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\
Windows Explorer\
Hide these specified drives in My Computer

and/or
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\
Windows Explorer\
Prevent access to drives from My Computer

Or use TweakUI.

TweakUI
[+] My Computer
Drives

Remove the check mark for the appropriate drive(s) |
Click Apply | Click OK

[[Drives
This allows selecting the drives that will be displayed in “My Computer” and
“Explorer”.]]

NOTE
Hiding drive letters in Windows XP doesn't prevent users from accessing
those drives through other means, including at the command prompt. This
setting hides only those drives in Windows Explorer, the common dialog
boxes, and so on. Thus, you can't rely on this as a security measure.

Hope this helps. Let us know.
