Hanging at the end of .pst export

I have Office 2007 loaded on 4 computers and am running into the same issue
on all four. When I export my Personal Folders as a .pst file to a flash
drive it hangs at the end and won't release Outlook so I can do a soft eject.
Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Create the PST file on a hard drive (never create it by exporting, by the
way). Close Outlook. Then copy it to a flash drive.
