PST Files Import & Export

I exported my pst files to my flash drive. I want to import them on my
laptop. I loaded Office 2003 like I have on the desktop. I click on import,
find the PST file and click on it. Nothing imports. How do I get the PST
files back into Outlook on this new laptop?

Importing pst files can corrupt the file. Copy the file instead, then copy
back to your hard drive (do not overwrite your current pst file)and use File,
Open Outlook Data File on the OL menu to open it.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately when I did that, it worked, but it
brought in real old Outlook Files. Even if I take them off the hard drive of
the old computer right now. I also don't get any Contacts. There used to be
a PAB file but in Outlook 2003 there isn't one of those. I guess I won't be
able to import these files. I'm going to lose them because I need to
reinstall Outlook on the old computer and it has a ton of mail and contacts
in it. Outlook on the old computer will not work and repair doesn't fix it.

Reinstalling Outlook will not cause you to lose any Outlook data. Just
make sure that you copy or backup the right PST file; there may actually
be several, e.g. old ones.
