My computer just freezes, keyboard and mouse dont work. I
have to restart via hard drive. I have looked at my error
logs and it comes up with:
Hanging application vidcap32.exe, version 4.0.0.0, hang
module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

The problem is I havent tried to run this program or any
of the others it says has tried to open. It can happen
just before windows has finished loading or half hour
into use!
I have run an anti virus that has been updated but it
hasnt found anything.
What can cause this problem?

Well, what OS are you running?

Try this.

Goto start > Run and type MSCONFIG, now you should see a
new window popup called Windows Configuration Utility, now
select the Startup TAB, Underneath Startup Item, look for
vidcap32.exe to be listed, once you find this
entry "UNCHECK IT".

Now reboot and enjoy 8)

It doesnt always happen on restat and Im not sure it was
that app. that was causing it on the time it did happen
on start up >:-)

then just UNCHECK "Load Startup Programs".

And come back if it happens again.

I'm pretty sure its a corrupt .exe or software that was
not installed fully or correctly.

The reason im telling you to uncheck "Load Startup
Programs" for one i do not know what programs are listed
under the menu, for your computer.

If you try this and the problem no longer occurs then just
recheck them all and do them one by one, until you find
the one that is faulty.
