Hi
I have been getting several messages in event viewer after one of my
laptop's multiple daily crashes. One message is "The server
(C7E39D60-7A9F-42BF-ABB1-03DC0FA4F493) did not register with DCOM within the
required timeout." Another is "Hanging application iexplore.exe, version
7.0.6000.16915, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address
0x00000000." Today, a new stop message occured 0x0000008e (0x00000005,
0xBF85GAAE....) Win32K address BF856AAE datestamp 49e87572. There have been
several other stop messages and event viewer messages. I have run virus
scans, malware, ram check, dskchk. Google suggested that the first message
relates to a problem with McAfee.
This is a 5 year old Toshiba A75 laptop running windows xp professional. It
has 1 G of ram and the hard drive is about half full.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance
