half screen - full screen

I have XP Home and for some reason today when I access
eBay for example or any website, they open as 1/2 screen
size image rather than full screen.
What might I have done to cause this?

What happens if you click the middle button in the blue bar at the top
right of your browser window?

That your problem?

The last time you shut the window that was the state it was in. To
restore it to what you want resize it to your desired size press and
hold down the shift key on the keyboard and then close the window.
Reopen it and it should be to that size again.
