Open a single IE window and use your mouse to drag the window to the size
you want, do not use the maximize icon. The close the window by clicking on
File and then Close. Next time it will open to the dragged size. Works for
IE, OE and Windows Explorer.

Click on the desk top icon, click properties, in the window that's
marked 'Run', click the arrow and set to 'Run in maximized window'.

You can do this for any programme

When you open a windows, grab the very corners of the top and bottom and
drag them to full size.
Then click on the maximize button (top right corner between the - and the x)
After you do this click on file and exit.
The screen should open full size next time you use it.
