half of text not showing in header

Hi,

I'm trying to add an additional line of text into a header in a document,
using Office 2007. I have pressed Enter to start a new line, but when I type.
only the bottom half of the text is showing (as if there's a white shape or
similar placed over the top half). I've checked things like line spacing and
space after paragraph etc, but it doesn't seem to resolve it. Does anyone
have any idea what could be causing this to happen?
Thanks for any help you can give!

Actually - I have answered my own question, so don't worry - the line spacing
was set to exactly 5 pts, and the space after the previous paragraph was set
to more than that, so Word overlapped them. Genius! Changing the line spacing
to single resolved it.

Indeed, this can be very confusing until you find out what is wrong...

Note, however, that strictly speaking the Spacing After isn't overlapping
the text; it's just that the line spacing is smaller than the font size. You
can see this if you decrease the font size of text (you may have to increase
the zoom to be able to read the text of course).
