Guides in FP 2003???

Michael

Am I going senile again or.... ?

I could have sworn that pulling a 'guide' line from the Vertical or
Horizontal Ruler into the webpage acted as a - guide line - as per most
other programs used for accurate placement of user objects. Now, I pull out
a guide and - nothing! Searching for 'FrontPage Guide' using 'F1' or Google
yields nothing - leaving me believe I must be senile.

Also, when I turn on 'view grid' the grid squares disappear behind the
webpage.....Yes, I've started my webpage with the .html generated in
Photoshop. If this is the issue then how do I make this 'third party' .html
page appear behind the Grid lines?? Or, why can't I turn it into a theme or
something?

All I can do for accurate placement is watch the little line marker in the
ruler as I move the mouse around.

What am I missing here? - Youth!

Thank you.

Did you become senile at one time in the past, and this is percieved to be a
second coming? You will have to use tables or CSS for accurate placement of
your objects. Browsers will render your pages as you tell them, but it's not
like a printed document.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the response in relation to the original
Guide and Grid question!

'....You will have to use tables or CSS for accurate placement of
your objects. Browsers will render your pages as you tell them, but it's not
like a printed document....'

Are you telling me that:

1)... No, there are no 'Guides' in FrontPage 2003 and also,
2)... No, Grids will not show on top of imported .html background pages.

As far as the '....Did you become senile at one time in the past, and this
is perceived to be a
second coming?.....'

I seem to remember buying a bottle of Ginkgo once........
