I installed the client for netware in my network connection and once i
restarted my computer i have had to sign in everytime i run the computer.
Also when i shut down the computer i no longer get the 3 GUI buttons for
shutdown standby and log off. How can i change these back to their original
way?

Hi,

1) Click start/run, type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes) and
click ok. In the user list, click on the user that you want to be the
default. Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok
and follow the prompts to set up a default logon.

2) Control Panel/Users applet, click on "change the way users log on and log
off", then enable the Welcome screen.

By uninstalling Netware. If you need to connect to a Novell network, you
need Netware and will have to live with the change in logon. If you
don't connect to a Novell network, why did you install Netware?

Did you install the MS client for Newtare or Novells Package.

If you really need to connect to a Netware server then I would recommend
using Novells package.

If you don't need to connect to a Novell Netware server, uninstall this
client. If you don't need it now I would bet good money and give you
incredible odds that you will never need it.
