Hello

I have a guestbook on my website which worked properly for 10 months.
Results are sent to _private/guestlog.htm. Some time ago I realised it had
stopped.

People get the message:
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

Nothing has changed on the server. FP extensions are OK. A counter is
working properly.
I published the remote site to my local server and here the guestbook is
working (again).

Republishing part of the site, renaming the guestbook page, changing the
results file name, replacing it, deleting the reference form the _vti_cnf
directory didn't solve the problem.

Can anyone please help me?

open the live web:
file/ open site, type in the http://address of your web.
when it opens hit tools/ recalculate hyperlinks.
then tools/ site settings/ advanced tab (clear temporary files).

I remember this fixing the issue for me once a long while back.

This is an unfortunate necessity due to high volumes of spam sent to email

This was a good idea I hadn't thought of yet.
But still the problem is not solved.
Help is still welcome
