Green lines in capture window

When I am trying to capture from my Sony Hi8 Camcorder I am getting greeen
lines flashing across the screen......How can I get rid of these?, or What is
causing them?

Sounds like interference. Could be a bad cable, something magnetic that the
cable is passing by or possibly a lot of dust in the case that is affecting
the card magnetically or electrically.
Are you capturing via Firewire?

it is a usb connection......i have the dazzle 90.....is there anything better?

Not that I know of. The dazzle 80 or 90 is usually what I recommend.
Still sounds like interference. I have seen a lot of this lately with
friends computers and a couple times in the NG as well. Do yourself a favor
and get a can of compressed air and open up the box. You will likely see a
lot of dust and dust causes static electricity which can cause interference
in the capturing.

Thanks for the help...I will give it a shot.....I hope i don't sound like a
moron here, but....which box are you talking about....my tower or the
dazzle......????
