Gray print on Canon S750

D

Daniel Prince

I have a Canon S750 that I have printed about 2,000 pages on. I
recently ran out of black ink. When I put a new cartridge in, it
did not print at all. I did a head cleaning cycle and it started
printing again. Later I noticed that all the text I was printing
was gray instead of black.

I did several more head cleaning cycles and even changed the print
cartridge again but it still prints black text in gray. Is there
anything I can do other than buying a new printer? Thank you in
advance for all replies.

I suspect the printhead has failed or is clogged.
You could try the nifty stuff forum, they may be able to help you get it
unclogged.
Otherwise it is either a new printhead or a new printer i'm afraid.

Chances are the printer's head is partially clogged, some nozzles are
not functioning. It needs a proper cleaning, likely outside of the printer.

Although I usually do not work with Canon printers, if you send me an
email I can send you a few suggestions that may resolve the problem for you.
