Graphics not showing when using Word 2003 SP2 as editor

Using Outlook 2003 SP2, using Word 2003 as my editor, when I paste a graphics
file (doesn't seem to matter the file format) into an email, the field is
there but it is displayed as a blank rectangle. When I send the email the
receiver can see the graphic. I can even see the graphic when I receive a
copy or even if I look at my copy in my sent items folder.

I also noticed today I received an email with an excel file attached the
email displayed this - { EMBED Outlook FileAttach }
I can forward this email to my Yahoo email account and there is a
spreadsheet file attached but it is not visible or accessible in Outlook.

This started occuring in the past week. Any ideas?

In Word 2003, click on Tools | Options | View tab | check the "Drawings"
box and uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | Print tab | check the
"Drawing objects" box | OK.

In Word 2003, press Alt+F9 to switch between display of field codes
(such as the EMBED field) and field results.

garfield-n-odie [MVP],

That did the trick. Both of my problems have been resolved. I do appreciate
your help!
