Outlook 2003 word email editor stops when replying to Outlook 2007

Word email editor in Outlook 2003 stops working when responding to email from
user with Outlook 2007 who uses Word 2007 as email editor. Is there any fix
to this problem. We tried repairing word 2003, and remembered to check the
box "restore my shortcuts while repairing". Email worked great until an
email was received and replied to from an individual using 2007. We did
confirm that they recently upgraded to 2007 and DO use Word 2007 as their
email editor.

Brandon, I'll try that. it sounds like it might work.

We just tried installing the compatibility pack. It did NOT fix the
problem....any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I thought it would work too.

The fix Brandon suggested does work if you make sure that all updates have
been applied to Microsoft Office.

We applied the updates and the problem was resolved.
