Graphics don't show until email ready to be forwarded.

I have been getting email messages and newsletters with missing graphics
replaced by the dreaded RED X. I have searched Google to find many posts
about this problem and have had it occur once in the past. I applied the
recommended fix but this time all the graphics can not be seen until I click
to forward the message. Then even before it gets sent it is in full view
with graphics and pictures displayed. I tried saving the message and opening
it again but nothing changes.

I am not sure if this is an Outlook Express issue or a Windows condition so
I will also try an OE groups also.

Thanks for any help.

Wilder.

If you are going to post the same question to multiple groups, do it as a
cross post, sending the same message to the different groups at the same
time. That way everyone in each newsgroup sees all the replies. Do no
multipost which is sending the same message to different newsgroups
separately. This leads to duplication of effort and not everyone benefits
by the responses.

OK,Rock. Sorry. What are the rules if you decide after to post to another
group? Is this strictly forbidden? How long should I wait for a response
before I am entitled to an after thought?

Thanks again Mr. Bear. I suspect this must have been one more change made
when I attempted to upgrade to I.E. 7. My all time biggest headache. At
least you can get rid of most other viruses in far less time.

No, it happens, you post to one group and then decide after the fact to post
to another. I suggest you indicate in the second post that you also posted
this to another newsgroup. That way people who visit both will know.

I was just pointing this out in case you weren't familiar with the
differences between crossposting and multiposting for future use.

YW. I very much doubt installing IE7 changed these settings. Did you
install WinXP SP2 recently?

I'm not Rock, but I'll throw my two cents in, if you (and Rock) don't mind.

First, it's not a matter of rules. It should be avoided, not because it's
against the rules, but simply because it's bad practice. Multi-posting is
bad because it wastes everyones time and gets you poorer help.

If you later decide to post to a second group, and end up multiposting even
though you never intended to, by all means do so. It's certainly not
forbidden. But it would be polite to add a note to the second message,
explaining that you had already posted in the first group, and added this
one as an afterthought, and explain why.

I have not. I am not having any trouble with my sister system that has
stayed away from I.E.7 and Windows Update for that matter. I know there are
some that have no troubles but that does not excuse the worst I.E. update in
history.

Do you perhaps have a list of the errors that *have* been attributed to
that questionable update?

Hey I understand fully how much even unwritten rules must be adhered to.
Especially when they are authored by the ones that have been around longer
and know what makes things tick.
