Graphic format changed with a programme installation

Hi
This is not a major problem but it is bugging me.
I have Windows XP Home edition running SP2 . .all appears
to be running well with SP2.
The other day I installed PhotoImpact and in the
installation process I failed to uncheck a part that had
words something like 'Make my Jpegs, Gifs etc a
PhotoImpact file and open with PhotoImpact'.
So now when I go to 'My Pictures' all my graphic icons
etc are telling me they are photoImpact.
I have converted back some of my Gifs etc to what they
were before. JPEG's haven't gone back though . .I have
got them now back opening with my Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer instead of opening in the PhotoImpact programme.
But what is bugging me is each JPEG file is telling me
still that they are a 'PhotoImpact Ulead Image'. My
problem is that I want them back to their normal!
Hope this makes sense to someone!
Tried a number of things but still haven't accomplished
what I want to . . . .or am going to have to uninstall my
PhotoImpact programme to get all graphics to revert back
to the normal for Windows and take more notice when I
reinstall PhotoImpact and make sure I uncheck the feature
that created this?
Any suggestions??
Thanks folks!

Hi,

You need to change back the icon association under Folder Options/File types
tab. Scroll to the .jpg's, click on them and then on advanced. Click the
change icon button. The shimgvw.dll file under C:\Windows\system32 contains
this icon.
