I have it on good authority that whilst Microsoft antispyware is in beta and
free, it has been banded about in the higher echelons that when it is
eventually released proper, those that already have the beta will receive
the release free for one year, whilst those that did not have it already
installed will have to pay for it from the get go. :)

Whilst you are pondering this situation, suggest you give more thought
on the price of gasoline and not to worry whether you'll have to pay for
another MS add-on which may already be debunked by the beta testers.

It will be Windows Defender.

Free for home and personal use.
Paid for in the Enterprise version.

All the info that Microsoft has given to the press states that the Microsoft
AntiSpyware (now Windows Defender) is supposed to be offered "free" for home,
personal use. Until further info, I would not rely on the "grapevine." The
"grapevine" has been wrong before and will be again.

Although there is never a shortage of M$ conspiracy theories, the
company line on MSAS is now and has always been that it will be free to
licensed Windows users.

From http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/faq.mspx:

"Windows AntiSpyware (Beta), subsequent beta versions, and the final
release version will each be available at no additional charge for
currently licensed Windows customers. Customers will be required to
validate that their version of Windows is genuine."

Also, MSAS' core will be built into Vista.

In
Nat Smiles spewed forth:

Oh, look! My clone is at it again. And this time the morphing a** has
even copied my sig. Wonderful. Just a reminder to readers not to
assume that anything you see with my name on it is from me. Read
headers. Besides - I *never* crosspost, and especially not to those
freak groups the troll is posting in. Thanks!

Imposter!!

There you go then, I was right!

And for those that don't install the beta now will have to pay when the
final product is released.

Who in their right mind would trust a MicroSoft
firewall? How will we know they are not sending
copies of all our internet activity to the
CIA/FBI/NSA/NSC/ONI/NSU!

Me, I give a shit about that. I use it and I like it.

Reread what you responded to, you retard. He was referring not to MSA but
oil related price issues.

You clearly are too stupid to know what is being conveyed, so 'just' watch
and learn, if you can - there's a good lad.
fookin loon

Nice sig' you have there, and appropriate too.

Very true, and a valid point, so who? How?

Try to pay attention, the topic of conversation was about MS products and
the reference to gas prices, an aside. It's certainly not clear the OP was
remarking about the gas comment.
Nice sig' you have there, and appropriate too.

Yes, especially for you.
I noticed you crossposted this to the alt.usenet.kooks group. Now I
