I've got a laptop with a Compact Flash port but no PCMCIA slot... from this I assumed I could use a "Compact Flash GPRS" card in it to get internet access.

Not so unfortunately, as these cards will only work in laptops with a PCMCIA-CF converter. Is there any way round this to use a dedicated GPRS Compact Flash card in the laptop? I really don't want to have to use infrared/bluetooth/cable connections to my mobile phone to access it unless I have to.
