Ready Boost and PCMCIA Compact Flash Cards

I have an IBM laptom with a PCMCIA slot. I want to use my compact flash card
for readyboost in the PCMCIA adapter. Vista recognises the CF Card as a hard
disk but does not give me the option to switch on Ready Boost.

Does Readyboost work with Compact Flash in a PCMCIA adapter.

Thank you.

The card is an Scandisk Extreme IV. I think it is related to it being in a
PCMCIA slot and Vista seeing it as a regular hard drive and not a flashdrive.
I'm wondering is there is anyway of telling Vista that it is a Flashdrive.
