GPO setting for Redirecting My Documents?

Where in the default GPO is the setting to re-direct My Documents? If it's
not there, is there a file (like with wuau) that I can add? I've been
looking through our GPO and can't find it... TIA....

Thanks. Didn't think to open the properties. If I select to have it enforced
so that the location was

\\server\Profiles\%username%\My Documents

Do the target folders (\%username%\My Documents) have to exist or will they
be auto created?

TIA,
Hank Arnold

I don't think it gets created, but don't quote me on that. I write because I
don't recommend you use a Windows user profile directory for the
redirection - I'd point everyone's My Documents at their home directory.
Just my $.02. If you're using roaming profies (which is why you'd have that
profiles folder on the server to begin with, no?) you'd be defeating one
main purpose of folder redirection, which is to get the data *out* of the
profile path....

Thanks for reminding me..... I had forgotten that it was my original plan to
move their "My Documents" to their W: (home) drive. Guess that the question
is moot then, since each user already has a home drive.... Good to know,
though...

Thanks for responding. These newsgroups have been an amazing source for
information and solutions and I really appreciate you and the others being
so patient and helpful....

We don't say it often enough.

It's kind of you to do so - and a "thank you" is always appreciated. Your
mother raised you right, it seems.
I agree, these groups are an amazing resource. :)
