Google Issue Help

Tom

I know that this request is not hardware related but I am running out
of options for assistance with the following concern. I have
attempted to contact Google with no luck, posted other groups for
advice, and now find myself looking here for help.

I now have a consistent problem which I only had once in a while in
the past. Every time I try to log in to my Google Groups I have to
enter in a random word to access the groups. Once my groups have been
accessed I can not access any discussions, files, etc. I continually
receive the following message 'We're sorry... but your query looks
similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware
application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right
now." I have attempted to correct this problem as directed by
Google. Current virus checker and spyware remover software is
installed and run each night. I have deleted my browsing history
(cookies, etc.) using the tools tab and recently added and run a new
pice of software (Spybot - Search and Destroy) recommended by Google.

I am frustrated in my inability to use my Google groups to access
group discussions and files. Any suggestions and/or remedies would
be appreciated.

Thank you.

Can you change your IP address ? Mine is dynamic, and if I disconnect
and reconnect to my ISP, I get a new IP address every time. From
a large pool of values. If your cookies are empty, at that point
change IP address and try again.

I had that problem temporarily a couple times, but haven't see it
recently. And I do a *lot* of searches.

Here is the obvious suggestion: stop using Google groups, and use a
newsreader.

You can get free Usenet access from aioe.org

Use a proper usenet service. news.motzarella.org is a good free one.
