Good registry checker/cleaner?

Can anyone recommend a good freeware registry checker/cleaner suitable
for a W98/W2K multiboot system where both file systems are visible to
each other?

There's so many registry checker/cleaner tools, and given the capacity
to do damage a recommendation based on extensive experience would be
nice.

Each OS has its own registry. Whether you have a single-boot
or a multi-boot system is totally irrelevant for your registry.

The best registry cleaner is no registry cleaner. If you use one
regardless and if you're lucky then you won't notice any difference
in performance unless you use a stop watch. If you're not so
lucky then you end up with a crippled system.

I've used CCleaner, but then only to delete tmp type files.
My win2k sys has been running 24/7 for the last two years with v.few probs

It is relevant since certain registry checker tools look for relocated
folders & files across the entire local file system in order to repair
the registry.
