Good incremental backup tool for Windows XP

T

Tony

I want to create a complete backup of my boot partition on another disk and
then be able to incrementally back that up on a weekly basis so I can easily
restore my system in the case of a virus or a disk crash or whatever.

I also need to create a complete backup of my boot partition and easily
apply it to a new partition on a new drive, as the current boot disk is
starting to fail.

I have tried two common packages for this - Norton Ghost V14 and Paragon
Hard Disk Manager V9, but neither really do what I am after very well.

Does anyone have a recommendation for backups of this kind? Can the same
software be easily used to migrate to another hard disk?

Suggestions appreciated.

(PS: Not sure this is the right forum for this question, but I could not
find anything better)

Acronis True Image can do this. You have a choice between incremental
backups (which work as you described) or differential backups.

Few days ago i was also looking for backup software but one day my friend recommended me Magic Backup & just believe me it's a great backup tool.Magic Backup is the only backup service which allow us to access all of our backed up files from any computer anywhere with an Internet connection and a Web browser. No need to install any software!Magic Backup is a service that uses our high-speed Internet connection and our Windows® PC to make backup copies of all our important files to a remote location that we provide. They install a small program on our computer that locates and makes secure copies of our pictures, movies, music, documents and other important data silently and automatically. Magic Backup keeps track of new files and changes to existing files so it always knows what needs to be backed up. It performs what they call "Automatic Continuous Backup" in the background without interfering with the normal use of our computer.Magic Backup
