going from win 98 to to win 2000

I am hands on person but not a high tech person, please
forward help in simple language.

I am using win 98se and I want to uprgrde to win 2000,
requsting step by step info on this process. Starting from
checking available drivers for my current hard & soft apps
to reformatting hard drive to installing win 2000.

Please see My reply to Khaos (above) as for software I have just built a
new puter and installed W2K with no probs at all, Also I installed quite a
few apps that were written for 98 all of which have subsequently run well in
the W2K environment

Installation of W2K is just a case of putting the CD in the Drive (Assuming
that your BIOS is set to run from CD as the first option) allow W2K to
format the hard disc and it will then install W2K for you,

All you have to do is fill in your choices in the appropriate boxes
