Please help. When I try to publish, Frontpage tells me "a web site does not
exist at ....". I was just publishing a week ago. Could it be because I moved
my web folder around on the computer? I disabled and enabled frontpage
extensions with no luck. Deleted the service.lck, reinstalled frontpage,
saved another copy of web site and tried that one. I have three sites and
they all show the same thing. What am I doing wrong? Anyone have some ideas?
thanks,
kurt

Do not "move FP webs around" in Windows Explorer
- publish them from one location to another on your PC
But moving your PC based webs does not affect your online server based webs

Open your online web in FP and publish it to your PC
File Open Web/Site and enter your URL as http://www.yoursitename.com/

Another problem with Windows Explorer is this: FP creates hidden
files and folders which Windows Explorer hides by default. If you
moved the contents of the folder, you missed these hidden folders. In
Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, the View Tab, and check
the radio button for "show hidden files and folders." Also uncheck
"hide file extensions for known file types." When in Windows
Explorer, at least you will be able to actually see all your FP
content. I have successfully moved folders in Explorer if I move the
Web Folder and everything in it all at once. Make sure, when creating
your web site, to create a new folder like My Documents\My Web Sites
\NEW WEB SITE, insterad of building your site into the My Web Sites
folder. You can see this explained on the following web pages:

Windows Explorer settings - http://www.xfp2003.wyzguys.net/1-02WinExSettings.htm
Web Folder Structure - http://www.xfp2003.wyzguys.net/1-02FileStructure.htm
Creating a new Web Site Folder - http://www.xfp2003.wyzguys.net/1-05StartWebsite.htm

FrontPage keeps track of the organizational structure of your site.
Rearranging the component pieces of your site should ONLY be done in
FrontPage. If you start moving pages and images around and into and
out of folders in Windows Explorer, when FP opens the site it will
know nothing about the changes you made, and the site will be broken.
