i have two computers that are connected to a DSL line
service and configured through a Linksys router. both
machines are 98SE and hold the exact same files except one
machine is a P4 300mhz with a 40gig HD in 4 partitions and
a Kingston etherx KNE110tx card. the other machine is a
1.6 ghz with a 60gig HD in 2 partitions and a network
everywhere fast NC100v2 card. both machines have IE6.0 and
are completely updated. the faster machine brings up a
work offline-try again screen after 20 minutes no matter
what page it is on when there has been no activity for
that amount of time. the slower machine does not do this
under the same circumstances. i have checked all the
connection settings as well as all( to the best of my
knowledge) the registry settings on both machines.
any ideas??????
