Gmail for Windows adds a shortcut button to your Internet Explorer
toolbar. It can also add a quick launch button to your Windows task bar
and/or add a shortcut to your desktop. Sure it doesn't do much but I
hope you find it useful.

Isnt it just easier and safer to type
www.gmail.com? Why does anyone need a
freeware program to do that?

easier still
1. Add to favourites > links and it's in your links bar.
2. Grab the little box top left of the pane and drag/drop to the desktop for
a desktop shortcut.
3. drag that new desktop shortcut to the start button and pop it in the
startup menu.
saves downloading a special program to do the simplest thing for you :/
