Global Catalog

Hello, I have two DC, and DNS on both.
One DC has all FSMO roles and Global Catalog.
Do I need to put Global Catalog on another DC too?

I have one domain and I plan to have more domains.

What will hapen if "main" DC crashed?
Will it be problem to promote another DC as Global
Catalog when DC with Global Catalog is crashed (off line)?

In a domain with only two DC's, both should be made a global catalogue for
redundancy. Although you can make the change after the 1st DC has failed it
is best to make this change before a failure, not after.

I planed to do that (to promote another DC to be Global
Catalog), but I'll have more than one domain in the
future, so in that case it's not recomended to have GC on
all DC (becouse of IM)?

The rule is that you shouldn't have a GC on the Infrastructure Master unless
you only have one domain or all DC's are GC's.

So there is nothing wrong with having all DC's as a GC. This article has
