Global Catalog Server

I have created a Windows 2000 domain called Root.net and
have two domain controllers in the domain. I also have
created 3 other domains and have only one DC in each. The
problem I am have is getting one of the Domain controllers
in the Root domain to register in DNS as the global
catalog servers. I have made sure that the DC I want to
be the GC has the checked saying that it is the GC. I am
at a stand still, I have flushed the DNS, reboot the
server. I have given it time for the servers to replicate
and still no good.

Is the problem machine pointing to itself for DNS? It needs to point to
another DC. If this is not the case, can you run a network trace and post it
back here or email me?
