glitch on booting

When I boot, before the Windows screen shows up, a notice is displayed: A:
Drive Error. Press Delete to resume.

How do I get rid of that?

Is there a disk in the floppy drive? If yes, remove it.

If no luck, change your boot order in BIOS (put floppy disk last).
Or disable the floppy disk drive altogether in BIOS.

I disabled the floppy disk drive and the notice still comes up. Any other
ideas?

Back in BIOS check the "error on startup" choices. If floppy disk is listed
among the items checked, make the necessary change to skip it.

Just FYI: This isn't a serious error that's threatening the health of your
system. It's an annoyance and is related to CMOS and BIOS options (or lack
of options and their efficiency depending on how well your BIOS implements
them).

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a "error on startup" choice. I disable the
diskette controller, but that just showed up as a different error. Any
suggestions. I have had this problem before, but of course, didn't remember
how to remedy it.
