Give self permission to use different address in "from" field?

M

Matt Senecal

I'm working on site, and all my corporate e-mail is forwarded to my
on-site account, which is managed on the local exchange server.

While my on-site address suffices for most things, occasionally I
would like to send an e-mail using my corporate e-mail address.
However, when I enter it into the "from" field I'm told that I "don't
have permission to send mail on behalf of the specified user". I've
tried fixing this problem, but nothing seems to be working. I can't
set up a new profile, because my corporate exchange account is not
accessable from where I'm working.

Does anyone know how I can give myself permission to send mail using
my other e-mail address?

The admin needs to add a contact for the second address and give you send as
permission. Do they have the imap ports open? You can set up imap accounts
and use different return addresses.
