Ginormous Icons!

[Quicker One]

After updating my XP today, I found that I now have
ginormous icons, so I did a day before restore point
thinking it was a bad update and needed to be re-
downloaded. After getting my desktop back to normal, I re-
downloaded the update and the same thing happened again!

Any advice out there as to what this is?

I am having a similar problem. I simply went to the

hotmail site and as soon as I got there, my screen
reverted back to a 4-bit setting and all of my icons and
screens are huge!!I went back and readjusted my display
settings and nothing happened. I restarted the computer
and got my color straightened out but then it started
popping up displays about a new hardware found and
installed the driver for it and said it was ready to use.
But everything is huge. When I go to the start menu, it
takes up almost the entire screen!!
I can't get it back to normal!!! HELP!

Might be conflict, Q1. but before uninstalling the update, have you tried...
right click the taskbar - to the left of the divider - select View and
enable "Small icons".
