There's no option for this. If the sender embedded images in HTML messages,
they'll show up inline - if they're attachments, they won't - Outlook
doesn't do this. Outlook Express does. Different product.
Thanks for your reply, but I have the same version of Outlook installed on
two different machines. With the identical email message, one machine shows
gif files in the message; the other shows them as attachments. Obviously,
something is different. I need to know what.

What version is it, and is the message in question an HTML message with
embedded graphics?
Are you using word as email editor on one, and not on the other?
Etc?
