If I try to run this file a windows that looks like DOS shows up for a while and
nothing happens. Should I be booting to DOS to run this file? This floppy used to
boot right to the application. That is why I thought a boot file might be corrupt
and maybe I can replace it.

Yes, boot to DOS and type what I mentioned at the prompt. Also if possible before
doing that, check out the contents of ghosterr.txt and see if it has any error
information that may help.
Where was the application loading before, DOS or Windows. If Windows and you're
using NTFS, it should have booted to DOS once the backup boot wizard is finished,
Ghost will not run in Windows when formatted to NTFS.

I'm attempting to locate my Ghost2002 disk which hasn't been used since 2003 came
out. It's going to take some time as there are tons of disks to go through.

I do have another option and if you want to discuss it, email me at: postmaster02
at comcast.net
Use "Ghost troubleshooting" as subject so I can pick it out easily.

Problem solved or should I say work around. I booted to DOS after making a
boot floppy and ran GHOSTPE. This ran the program like usual. I saw a screen
with a ser.# that I wrote down. I entered my selection to copy from disk to
disk. I entered the ser. number like before.

Now I have to figure out what file to place on the GHOST floppy to get it
to boot right to the application like before.

To make life easy:go to wdc.com (western digital) and load the free program
named lifeline.
In this program you find everything you need, info about link settings etc.
Than you can format and if you like even make partitions.
After that it can image your operatingsystem with all additional software
data etc to your new drive.
They warn for non-Western drives, but they give anyway all information about
them.
I did it some times and it workted perfect.
