ghetto start bar

Hi,
For some reason, by startbar keeps randomly reverting to the original
windows style (I have XP and XP style bar and windows). When i go into the
properties thing and check, I still have XP style as my setting, but the
start bar is the old fashioned one. If i click the old one and then the new
one and click ok, it will go back to windows XP style again for a while, but
then it changes again after a couple minutes. Does anyone know why it is
doing this? Oh, and the windows are always XP style, they don't change.
