getting yourself a Hostign site

just a word of caution...

though it's probably not needed really.. I doubt any of you would sign
up for a host service without first making contact them first....
Just make sure you always do!
I perhaps shouldnt mention the site - it's not confirmed yet - but
thoughts are that they'v gone out of business, but the home page is
still there ??? and COULD let people sign up and pay - and get !zip!
in return!!
We had them as our host - just 2 months, then the site came up as
suspended.. strange !!! cos theres no reason for it, and none given,
other than an email at the same time - not prior to! they gave a pafe
address for us to go to and to log in etc etc.. to attend to whatever
the reason was for the suspension.... that page will not open up!!
they saif to contact them or risk losing the site and all content...
ALL attempts to make contact have failed - site online support - site
email msg, normal email... even phone!! nothing gets a response!!
So when you sign up anywhere - make contact first -don;t just sign up
- in case your going to "these" guys!!!!
any responses to this can let me know if it's "ok" to publish the host
name here. " remember that bird that went up in flames only to rise
out of them again !!?? "

can do without the idiot responses, whats wrong with passing on some
friendly warning!
often a web host will display damn near everything you need to know -
theres nothing much at all to ask - and someone will simply sign up
without any real prior contact! if they do so on this particular site
- they will be in for a shock!
Their home page is still up and active! just aint nobody at home!!
friendly advice - nothing more! do not take a high tech looking site
as a sign your dealing with a professional company - make contact
before signing up always!!
do that - and I don't need to spell out this site name, apply it to
ANY site you propose signing up to! anyway.. I already gave a hint to
the site name!
