getting windows xp back

i got this trial version of Windows Vista and well i don't want it on my
computer anymore and i want Windows XP back on. How can i do this?

How did you install Vista? If as an 'upgrade' have a look in Add/Remove
Programs.

i dont think it was an upgrade, but i did look at my add/remove thing and it
wasnt there. someone told me i need a windows xp recovery cd, is that right?
 
Yeah that would probably work but you also need the authenticity code
