Getting to older messages

For a few days, whether I go through Internet direct or through Outlook
Express, I cannot get to older pages. On OE I get about three days worth, on
Internet I get most of the time "Newsgroup unavailable" or if I get page one
then on asking for page 2 I get that msg again.
Is there a setting I changed somewhere that led to this or what is
happening. Search seems to be able to go after old dates though.
Thanks to respond quickly before the Reply falls into this unavailable time
frame.

Hello Pierre,

If you're using OE, you should have an icon in the toolbar that says Headers
or Get New Headers. In OE you can download up to 1,000 headers at a time by
clicking on Tools | Options | Read Tab.

In the bottom half of that Window, under News, make sure there is a check
box in the "Get" option and select how many headers you wish to download at
any one time. During a session, you can keep on clicking on the Get New
Headers to continue populating the newsgroup.
